The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is actively preparing for the upcoming elections in Tamil Nadu. In this context, Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a booth workers' conference in the state today. He began his speech by informing the audience that after assuming the role of Vice President, CP Radhakrishnan, a son of Tamil Nadu, is set to become the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha. Previously, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) honored APJ Abdul Kalam by electing him as the President of India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has consistently worked to honor Tamil Nadu, the Tamil language, and Tamil culture.

Shah expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party president JP Nadda for nominating the esteemed Tamil leader CP Radhakrishnan for such a prestigious position. He further stated that in Pahalgam, terrorists sponsored by Pakistan have tragically taken the lives of innocent civilians. Modi has assured the nation that both the terrorists and those who orchestrate their actions will face consequences. By authorizing Operation Sindoor, he ensured the destruction of terrorist hideouts deep within Pakistan. Additionally, Operation Mahadev successfully eliminated three terrorists responsible for the heinous attack in Pahalgam.
The BJP leader mentioned that Prime Minister Modi introduced the 130th Constitutional Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha. The entire opposition has united to oppose this bill, which stipulates that if a Chief Minister or Prime Minister is imprisoned, they must resign from their position. The opposition has raised questions regarding the bill's validity. However, it is noteworthy that two senior ministers from the DMK remained in jail for nearly eight months without resigning from their posts. Governing from jail is impractical and inappropriate. He reminded Stalin that those involved in unethical activities have no moral right to make such accusations against the bill, which they label as a 'black bill.'
Continuing his attack on the opposition, he stated that the DMK government is among the most corrupt in the country, embroiled in numerous high-profile scandals, including the TASMAC liquor scam, sand mining scam, corruption in the transport department, and various other scandals involving money for jobs. He noted that in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the NDA secured an 18% vote share, while their ally, AIADMK, garnered 21%. Together, this alliance accounted for nearly 39% of the total vote share. The partnership between NDA and AIADMK is not merely a political alliance; it represents a commitment to the development and progress of Tamil Nadu.

He asserted that the INDIA alliance is incapable of working for the welfare of Tamil Nadu and the entire country. Stalin's sole agenda is to secure the Chief Minister position for his son, while Sonia Gandhi's primary goal is to make her son the Prime Minister. I want to be very clear: both will fail in their ambitions, as the NDA is on a clear path to victory. He emphasized that neither Rahul Gandhi can become Prime Minister nor Udhayanidhi can become Chief Minister. The NDA's victory is assured, and so is Modi's success.
